Pricing, Warranty, and Support

Straightforward pricing built around models and performance tiers.

Pricing

Pricing begins with a base model price (Bachelor, Starter, Starter Max, Open, Family). The working approach is that published/standard baseline assumptions reflect the “standard” R-30 Subarctic configuration where applicable. Adjustments are then made based on: insulation tier (Cheechako may reduce cost; Arctic increases cost), roof type, and interior finishes/furnishing level (from bare-bones to fully furnished).

Cost-reduction option noted for Chechako packages:

Reducing overall height can lower materials cost and, in some cases, expand shipping options.

Included readiness:

Units are pre-wired and pre-plumbed for final connection to exterior power and plumbing.

Not included in published unit pricing (typically):

Site work, foundations, and utility runs. These are handled by the buyer and/or local partner network.

Arctic boxes are recommended in the standard package where applicable, but can be removed when not needed.

Financing

Polar Tough Homes does not directly finance homes. We support buyers and partners by providing documentation lenders and housing programs or mortgage lenders require, and by coordinating with partners on grant-supported or blended-finance projects where appropriate.

Volume Purchasing

Yes, multi-unit and programmatic purchases can benefit from volume efficiencies in manufacturing and logistics. Specific discount thresholds and structures are handled through one-on-one quoting.

Lead Times

Lead times depend on the model and configuration, time of year, production schedules, and freight windows (especially for barge-served communities). As a planning heuristic, customers should generally expect multiple months from order confirmation to arrival at the Alaska destination, with seasonal extensions for hard-to-reach locations.

Warranty

All PTH homes come with a standard manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship (1 year). Optional extended warranty coverage could be offered via an insurance-backed policy (for example, up to 10 years) at additional cost.

Final warranty structure should clearly define what is covered by PTH versus what is covered by component manufacturers and by local contractors for site-built work (foundations, utilities, decks, etc.).

Post-Installation Support

PTH supplies homeowner/operator manuals (maintenance, winterization, emergency procedures), as-built documentation package, a technical support channel for questions and warranty coordination, and for programmatic buyers: orientation/training for local maintenance staff and remote support.
